The price catalog — what it is and how to use it

The price catalog is Numistec's value reference for Portuguese coins — useful both for valuing a collection and for understanding what a piece is worth before buying or selling elsewhere.

What it shows

For each coin, the catalog lists a reference value at three different grades (e.g. Fine, Very Fine, Extremely Fine), by year of issue. These values come from recognized professional numismatic catalogs used in the Portuguese market, updated regularly.

How to browse it

The catalog page lets you filter by:

  • Year of the price catalog edition
  • Historical collection/period (e.g. 1st Republic, Monarchy)
  • Coin and face value

There's also a quick search that suggests collections, values and years as you type.

How the catalog connects to your coins

When you catalog a coin, it's linked directly to the matching catalog entry — that link is what lets your collection's page automatically calculate the reference value of everything you own, without you having to enter prices by hand.

Access

Access to the full catalog may depend on your subscription plan. If you don't have an account yet, sign up for free to see what's available on the Free plan, and check the plans and pricing if you need more.
